Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen, known for its selection of fresh, house-made and mindfully sourced dishes, announced today its Austin location has opened at The Domain Northside. This opening marks the first restaurant location in Texas and the brand’s fifth overall location.
I had the pleasure of checking out Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen first-hand last week and it did not disappoint!
We had the Housemade Guacamole with Doc B’s ‘famous’ sweet potato chips, Jumbo Lump Crab Stack, the Crispy Oyster Lettuce Wraps, and the Chicken Tortilla Soup to start off with. My favorite from these was the Housemade Guacamole which paired AMAZING with the sweet potato chips. I am also IN LOVE with the Crispy Oyster Lettuce Wraps and the Chicken Tortilla Soup.
We decided on the Oven-Roasted Chicken Wings for dinner since we were stuffed with the apps! Haha They were pretty good for being oven-roasted.
I wanted to order all three happy hour drinks to have the chance to try them all out. My favorite was definitely the Crazy Beautiful (CH Vodka, elderflower, spiced pear, Voveti). It even changes color right before your eyes as you drink it. They were so on point that they even came to do a Martini Glass Exchange to make sure my drink stayed chilled.
I don’t usually do dessert, but the waitress, Ciera, convinced me. We had the most amazing Chocolate Cake that came with the (perfect) glass of milk. It was their featured dessert that day.
There were so many other things I wanted to try, including their COCKTAILS ON TAP, the Danish BBQ Ribs, and their pizzas. Can’t wait to go back to Doc B’s for amazing service and amazing food! This is definitely my new happy hour spot at the Domain in Austin.
ABOUT DOC B’S FRESH KITCHEN:

With a commitment to house-made and mindfully sourced dishes like seasonal entrees, salads, burgers, and sandwiches, diners can expect delicious, crave-worthy food at every visit to Doc B’s. The restaurant also impresses with an extensive craft beer, wine, and spirits selection. Doc B’s has locations in Chicago, Austin, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa, with additional locations set to open in Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas, and Aventura and Coral Gables, Fla., in 2018.
“Our goal at Doc B’s is to provide each guest with food they can feel good about, along with tastes that are memorable, while making them feel like they’re a guest in our home,” said Doc B’s Founder and President Craig Bernstein. “Austin was a natural fit for Doc B’s first Texas location, not only for its booming population and great climate but because of the awesome people that we could not wait to bring on as team members and treat as guests. Austin is also known for their embracing culture for brands that put people first in their business approach, which Doc B’s prioritizes in creating a fantastic team culture,” said Bernstein.
The Austin location, designed by Dwayne MacEwen and Project Architect Jeremy Leech of DMAC Architecture, is an expansive 5,000 square feet featuring a 27-person black marble top island bar, open kitchen and large windows overlooking the patio with a vertical hangar door providing an outdoor feel. One-of-a-kind pop art pieces created by rising American Pop Artist John Stango adorn the dining room walls. The patio boasts Kettal chairs, heaters, misters and fans for guests to feel comfortable in every season. Doc B’s custom retractable awning with built-in lights makes the patio an ideal spot for al fresco dining, day or night.
Doc B’s Austin is located at The Domain Northside at 3001 Palm Way Suite 120, Austin, TX 78758. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 AM to 10 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM to 9 PM. Reservations can be made by contacting the restaurant at 512-672-8400 or through Yelp.
