Travel

All things travel: hotels, destinations, nightlife, food, and more.

When the bride invited me to New Orleans for her bachelorette, I was a little nervous. Girls' Trips, in general, make me nervous after a bad experience I had. I was excited to go back to NOLA, though, since the last time I was there it was for my brawda's big 2-1. Although I didn't hit up NOLA for my bachelorette, it's the PERFECT place for a bachelorette. There is SO MUCH to do! And the food is AMAZING!
Happy Wednesday y'all! I am back with another post about my hometown, Del Rio, TX! Thank you so much to everyone who liked and watched my Del Rio YouTube video! I love and miss my hometown so much every day and love sharing it's charm with everyone! I wanted to a weekend guide sharing some of the places I didn't cover on my Vlog (and some I did) for those of you visiting Del Rio this holiday season!
VLOG: TNL Takes On Chicago - April 2019 - The Nueva Latina
HAPPY WEDNESDAY! My Chicago Travel Vlog is LIVE! I basically just ate the whole time! Haha! I hope this helps you on your next trip to Chicago.
In July, my mom booked our trip to Cancun! She used the Southwest Vacations to book our flight and hotel together. Traveling to Mexico right now is pretty cheap and we snagged an amazing deal of $838.23 per person for flight and an all-inclusive hotel.
I am SUPER excited to do my post on Shreveport! It's almost been a whole three weeks since I was there and I am already missing the FUN AND ADVENTUROUS air.
TNL Travels: Getting Ready for NOLA and Packing List - The Nueva Latina
I am officially 1 day away from my trip to NOLA for a friend's bachelorette party weekend. I haven’t been to New Orleans since 5 years ago for my baby brawda's big 2-1. I love the spirit and the culture of The Big Easy. I am SO EXCITED to finally be back. I love traveling and it is definitely something I want to do more. I especially love the planning process leading up to a trip. I always do the same 3 things before visiting somewhere new or even somewhere I have gone to before.
TNL Travels: Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo - The Nueva Latina
When the bride invited me to Playa del Carmen for her bachelorette, I was a little nervous. Girls' Trips, in general, make me nervous after a bad experience I had. I was excited to go back to the Cancun area, though, since the last time I was there it was for my sister's big 1-8. Although I won't be hitting up Playa del Carmen for my bachelorette, it's the PERFECT place for a bachelorette. There is SO MUCH to do! The weather is PERFECT! And the food is AMAZING!
TNL Travels: Magnolia Hotel Houston - The Nueva Latina
When I found out I was staying at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston during my stay while visiting the Bud Light Brewery, I started Googling right away. I read that it was a boutique hotel and I thought, "Oh, that's cool." I had never stayed in a boutique hotel, but I had heard of them before. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but upon arrival that all changed.
Happy Hump Day!! I am officially 1 day away from my trip to Playa del Carmen for one of my bestie’s bachelorette party weekend. I haven’t been to the beach in Mexico since two years ago for my baby sister’s big 1-8. The beach is my favorite place to be and I am excited to finally be back.
The food was AMAZING! And super cheap. The conversion while we were there was $1 US = $2,800 Colombian Pesos (Or $2.80). We ate like royalty the whole time were there. Not only was the food cheap, but they also serve HUGE portions. I have found this to be true in Mexico as well, that the level of service is SO MUCH BETTER than it is here. People in Colombia are continually trying to see how you are and really trying to accommodate to you. Every place we ate at, we were treated like VIPs and that is something that I feel is lost sometimes in the United States.
