I have had a BIG issue with getting a blow-out. I had my go-to place for a while. A chain that is really well known. They did my hair for my cousin’s wedding about 3 years ago and it was ON POINT. I ended up winning some gift cards to there too so I kept going to try it out. After the first, though, they started not doing so well on my hair. They would say that it was “uncurlable” and that they just couldn’t curl it. I was super confused with this. I have a wand at home and I curl my own hair just fine. Continue reading
Happy September! The past few weeks have been so CRAZY and so HECTIC. With everything going on in east Texas with the damage left behind by all the flooding, it’s been a little hard to get into the positive writing mood.
I am in desperate need of a vacation. I honestly just want to get away and relax for a couple of days. Continue reading

I am SUPER excited to share La Bella Beauty products with you all today! I don’t usually review too many beauty products, just because I am not sure of how my skin and hair will react to it.
Summer hair can be hard! Between the sweat, salt, sand, and sun keeping it healthy is never easy. As some of you may know, I recently “colored” my hair. It wasn’t toooooo noticeable but it was a BIG change for me. Since then, though, I noticed my hair started to lose its bounce and that it was a lot more frizzy. I tried super expensive shampoos and conditioners that I researched online to see if they would help my hair out, but no luck.
I am not going to lie, I was a little skeptical about La Bella hair products. Especially the Lots of Curls Styling Gel. I stopped using gel back in the day because it would leave my hair crusty and hard. But, WOW!! Continue reading

Happy Hump Day Queens and Kings! Today, I want to take some time to talk with you all about SKIN CARE.
With my pageant, pre-wedding events, other people’s weddings, MY wedding, the holidays, and then my honeymoon coming up…I have A LOT of events to look forward to and to look good for.
Growing up, my mom was [and still is] constantly on me about always putting on my cremita or cream in the morning and before bed. If you have met or seen my mom through pictures, you’ll know that she looks REALLY GOOD for her age. Some of that may be genetics, but a lot of it is how she takes great care of her skin! HAPPY HUMP DAY!
I am SO EXCITED today! It is my privilege and pleasure to share with you all the great news happening this weekend for my favorite make up #badassbosslady girls from Make The Rest Up here in Austin, TX! Make The Rest Up has been my favorite mobile makeup salon ever since I discovered it. They started out operating out of their VANity and grew from there. And it’s because of this that they are FINALLY going to have an actual salon.
“Make The Rest Up is a new makeup salon dedicated towards focusing on makeup applications only for the best experience. We provide a range of options for first time makeup wearers to instagram obsessed and our mission is to make everyone feel beautiful, no matter what! Above all, we believe in the power of strong women and donate a portion of proceeds to women’s literacy charities.” Continue reading
I have always surrounded myself with people that motivate and inspire me. When I learned about Make The Rest Up, I knew right away that they were the type of people I NEEDED in my life. Not only because I needed my makeup did, but also because they motivate and inspire women in everything they do.
“Make the Rest up is about embodying beauty from the inside out. Through approachable beauty services we aim to make women feel a bit more special in an increasingly fast-paced and stressful world, all while contributing to helping women all over the world get the education they deserve.”
I discovered Make The Rest Up one fateful day on Instagram. I was competing in the 2016 Miss Austin Texas Latina and I was being introduced into the world of big hair and makeup. I have always done my own makeup and have always been hesitant about letting another person do my makeup. When Natasha Russ wrote to me on Instagram telling me about Make The Rest Up and I was feeling VERY adventurous at the time. I was nervous, but I made an appointment for the Friday the weekend of the pageant
