My name is Anali Martinez Gonzalez and I am The Nueva Latina. I was born in San Antonio, TX, raised in Del Rio, TX, and now call Austin, TX home. I attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with my B.S. in Civil Engineering. I love to write, read, dance, and workout on my free time. I am happily married to my own Colombian Superman and we have two pups named El Chapo and Pablo. I am very close to my family and I hope to share snippets from our lives with you all!!
I have always been a writer. Growing up I would make and print paper magazines that I would give to my friends. I always wanted to write for a magazine one day. Life took me to a different place and I became a BADASS civil engineer designing infrastructure! Haha But, my desire to write was still there. I decided to start blogging after a very bad breakup. My first blog was called, “Confessions of a Serial Dater” and I mostly just complained about all the bad dates I went on and all the guys who would never call back. In April 2015, I decided to rename my blog The Nueva Latina, because I am a “new” Latina. Proud to be both American and Mexican.
The Nueva Latina is a lifestyle brand and online magazine from the perspective of a Nueva Latina. A blog transformed online magazine where we write about the experiences of a new generation of Latinas in life, music, travel, food, and everything in between.
